Summarizing Information
Introduction: This topic emphasizes the importance of the student-skill of summarizing. Summarizing is a skill used throughout an adult’s life. Students sometimes do not realize that they are already good at summarizing. Students summarize sports events, they summarize music concerts, they summarize conversations they have had with other students. Students summarize things almost every day – that have little-or-nothing to do with school. This topic emphasizes how that same skill can be applied to their school work – especially to science. Summarizing is a basic, required skill in every topic through Honeycutt Science.
