Student Handouts
Two versions of student material are included here. The standard 8-page packet includes introductory practice using SI prefixes and writing in scientific notation. If students are already strong in these two areas, then use the “experienced student” 2-page packet instead.
Math skills introduced or reinforced: converting numbers within the SI system, converting numbers into scientific notation (powers of 10), averaging multiple measurements, using and maintaining units of measure along with numerical values.
