Debate

As property of the American people, it is the privilege of citizens and visitors alike to be able to take advantage of the beauty and opportunity afforded by the more than 360 national park areas in the United States. Multiple studies show that national parks create jobs, attract international tourists, and provide significant economic value to nearby communities.

  • Position A: Additional emphasis should be placed on the dedication of new national parks with added funding from our government.
  • Position B: No additional emphasis is needed. Sufficient funding is already budgeted and 360 parks is a sufficient and reasonable number of national parks.
